Bamboo Village Trust (BVT) adalah organisasi nirlaba yang berfokus pada restorasi lahan terdegradasi, pengembangan agroforestri bambu, dan peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat pedesaan di wilayah tropis. Organisasi ini didirikan pada tahun 2023 dan berkantor pusat di Gianyar, Bali. 

BVT lahir dari konsep Bamboo Village Initiative, sebuah gerakan yang memanfaatkan bambu sebagai alat untuk memperbaiki ekosistem sekaligus menciptakan peluang ekonomi bagi masyarakat desa. Organisasi ini berupaya menjawab tiga tantangan besar sekaligus: Perubahan iklim. Degradasi lahan dan deforestasi. Kemiskinan di wilayah pedesaan.

Visi-Membangun “Restoration Economy” atau ekonomi berbasis pemulihan lingkungan pada lahan-lahan terdegradasi di seluruh dunia. Misi Utama – Bamboo Village Trust memiliki target ambisius: Membangun 200 Bamboo Villages di sepanjang sabuk tropis dunia pada tahun 2030. Mengembangkan aset kehutanan sosial berbasis masyarakat. Mendukung solusi iklim berbasis lanskap. Meningkatkan akses perempuan, pemuda, dan kelompok rentan terhadap modal, teknologi, dan kepemimpinan.

Program dan Dampak – BVT menargetkan: Restorasi ratusan ribu hektare lahan terdegradasi. Penyerapan karbon melalui penanaman bambu. Penciptaan lapangan kerja di desa. Pengembangan usaha sosial berbasis kehutanan masyarakat.Bamboo Village adalah model pembangunan desa yang menggabungkan: Penanaman bambu skala besar. Agroforestri berkelanjutan. Pengolahan produk bambu bernilai tambah. Penguatan koperasi dan usaha desa. Pemulihan tanah dan sumber air.

Available Positions:

Site Admin Officer (Kubu, Karangasem)

Qualification & Competencies

• Education: Minimum Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in construction projects or NGO/Non-Profit Organizations.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Google Workspace/MS Office and formal report preparation.
• Additional Skills: Basic understanding of project documents (RAB/BoQ) and high integrity.
• Domicile: Willing to be placed full-time in Kubu, Karangasem

Scope of Work

• Serve as the official BVT point of contact in the field for contractors and third parties. Ensure instructions from the Head Office are formally communicated to the field team.
• Manage the archiving (physical and digital) of project documents: RAB, Shop Drawings, Addendums, and Work Permits.
• Conduct independent verification of physical progress in the field
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports with visual documentation.
• Manage field petty cash according to BVT financial procedures.
• Verify contractors’ term claims
• Facilitate site visits by donors, consultants, and vendors.

GIS Officer (Denpasar)

Qualification & Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geospatial Science, Cartography, Environmental Science, Urban/Regional Planning, or a related field.
• Additional training or certification in GIS, Remote Sensing, or Data Visualization is an advantage.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in GIS, spatial data management, or remote sensing, preferably in NGOs, research institutions, or development projects.
• Demonstrated experience in producing maps, dashboards, and spatial analyses to support program or project decision-making.
• Field experience in GPS data collection, participatory mapping, or environmental monitoring is desirable.
