Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) adalah lembaga regulator sektor energi di Malaysia. Dalam bahasa Inggris, namanya Energy Commission of Malaysia. ST bukan perusahaan listrik seperti TNB, melainkan badan pengawas/regulator yang mengatur agar sektor listrik dan gas berpipanya berjalan aman, andal, efisien, adil, dan berkelanjutan.
Apa sebenarnya pekerjaan Suruhanjaya Tenaga Sederhananya: Pemerintah menetapkan kebijakan → ST mengatur dan mengawasi → perusahaan energi menjalankan operasional → masyarakat/konsumen mendapatkan layanan energi. ST mengawasi: standar teknis; keandalan jaringan listrik; kualitas pasokan; kompetensi tenaga kerja sektor energi; perizinan; sertifikasi; kepatuhan terhadap standar; kinerja industri listrik dan gas.
ST juga memiliki fungsi safety regulation.
